practices i’m carrying into 2026

i have realized i spend too much time optimizing my work and not enough time optimizing my life.
here's a simple plan for next year:
reading fantasy: my friends have stopped asking for book recommendations because they hate my "intellectual" non-fiction picks. i am finally picking up brandon sanderson to see why everyone loves magic and dragons more than reality.
walking & muscle: every time bangalore's weather turns bad, i fall sick. it is time to build some muscle and walk 10k steps daily so a cloudy day doesn't defeat me.
home food: eating out is hurting my wallet and my cholesterol. eating at home saves money, and honestly, chopping vegetables with my wife is better than waiting for a delivery guy.
phone detox: i spend 6 hours a day doom scrolling. that is basically a full-time job for free. i need to put the phone down and get my brain back.
